EU Civil Resilience Mechanism for Civil Society Organisations Launched

We are pleased to inform that the EU Civil Resilience Mechanism (CRM), an in-kind support for civil society initiatives, was launched under the European Union funded project “Technical Assistance for improving the enabling environment for Civil Society Organisations in the Republic of North Macedonia”. The indicative amount of available funds under this call for proposals is 900,000 EUR.

The main objective of the call is contributing towards improved environment and capacities of civil society to address efficiently the key reform priorities in their communities for further democratisation of the society. This in-kind support shall serve to enable grassroots organisations countrywide to undertake actions for strengthening the citizens’ resilience during frequent social changes. The CRM support shall also serve to inform the citizens on the EU accession and related sector reforms in the country and the impact on citizens’ daily lives.

The objectives of this call for proposals are:

  1. To enable CSOs for legal and policy creation and implementation, and for reinforcing advocacy and watchdog role.
  2. To enhance CSOs for increasing sectorial networking, dialogue, and cooperation with public institutions (central and local) and business community.
  3. To support CSOs in promoting and enhancing democracy and human rights with rights-based actions.
  4. To improve the visibility of the work of CSOs and strengthen their communication with their constituencies and sectorial stakeholders.
  5. To foster networking and exchange of good practices among CSOs in the country and with IPA/EU based CSOs.

The call is open to the CSOs registered in line with the Law on Associations and Foundations, with an annual turnover of up to 50,000 EUR in the previous year. The maximum amount per approved proposal is 20,000 EUR.
