The EU Funded Technical assistance project for improving the enabling environment for Civil Society Organizations in the Republic of North Macedonia invites interested participants to a consultation on the legal framework for accountancy for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The consultation aims to provide a platform for CSOs, legal experts, accountants, and professionals to delve into the crucial legal aspects that govern the accounting requirements of CSOs and draft conclusions for possible improvements.
The conclusions from the consultations will be an integral part of the upcoming analytical report and will serve as a foundation for cooperation between civil society and the government to enhance the legal framework governing the financial activities of CSOs.
The consultations will involve CSO management, accountants and financial professionals, government representatives, academics and researchers and donors and philanthropists. Participants will have the opportunity to comment on the current accounting framework, the topics covered in the analytical report, and the final conclusions and recommendations for possible improvements.
