Awarded 49 Grants for In-Kind Support under the EU Civil Resilience Mechanism

15 July 2023

Congratulations to the successful 49 civil society beneficiaries awarded with a grant under the first call for in-kind support of the EU Civil Resilience Mechanism (CRM)[1].

The selection process involved the evaluation of 112 applications submitted from civil society organisations (CSOs) registered in accordance with the Law on Associations and Foundations.

The main objective of the call was to enhance the environment and capacities of civil society to effectively address key reform priorities in their communities, furthering the democratization of society. The in-kind support[2]provided through CRM aims to empower grassroots organizations across the country, enabling them to undertake actions that strengthen citizens’ resilience during frequent social changes. Additionally, the CRM support serves to inform citizens about EU accession and related sector reforms, emphasizing the impact on citizens’ daily lives.

Following a thorough evaluation process, 49 beneficiaries were selected across five lots of the Open Call. These beneficiaries start with implementing the actions in period of June – July 2023.

The actions are designed with a local grassroots approach, aiming for a rapid response to the needs of local citizens. The initiatives cover various areas, including protection of human rights, green and digital transition, youth activism, gender equality and women rights, support of vulnerable and marginalised people, civil inclusion in different local policies and other endeavors aimed at improving the everyday lives of the local community.
